Our multi-discipline services were nicely put to the test on a recent project. Due to time constraints we had to mobilise the design team to the Vessel where they interacted with the client to agree the best location for the Structure and then moved directly into the Design Phase whilst consulting with Class. Once the design-freeze was in place, we generated a BOM to allow the Clients Fabricator to begin procurement. Utilising the clients manufacturing facilities and our Design Team, we were able to complete the Fabrication and necessary approvals in time for the installation to be completed ahead of the Vessels early departure.
During the Fabrication Phase it was necessary to complete some destruct/construct works to allow the Installation to take place when the Landing Platform was available (pre-coatings) for a trial fit. Upon successful completion of the trial fit, we concluded the site work whilst the structure underwent the full coatings and inspection.
Astute placement by our designers allowed for minimal internal stiffening, which was confirmed by our Structural Engineering Team and approved by Class.
Needless to say that both our Clients and theirs were extremely happy with the outcome.
