TEXO were commissioned as part of a larger survey and inspection scope for a national housing development company to specifically conduct CCTV inspections of several gravity drain/sewers on the proposed site.
The survey was conducted to produce high fidelity CCTV inspection, line and level survey along with inspection chamber reports.
This would allow the client to understand the current condition and any issues identified within the wastewater pipeline.
The Solution
- TEXO Survey & Inspection sent a team to inspect a pipeline using a CCTV crawler system, GPS RTK, Total Station, and survey-grade radio detection equipment.
- The team followed strict procedures to set up the survey. They established permanent control points to use as reference points and pumped out water and waste to a safe level for the CCTV inspection.
- The inspection of the covers recorded the condition, material, location, and all other required information. After this, the team determined the depth and level of the invert, and began the CCTV surveys.
The Result
- Comprehensive documentation of the drainage network, including technical drawings, cover reports, CCTV footage,
and accompanying reports. - Data was delivered in both standard PDF format and an interactive format via Texzone, allowing for easy visualization
of defect locations. - Client utilised this information to develop a repair and maintenance plan and effectively communicate it to all key project stakeholders.
