Our client contacted us late one Friday night and asked us to remove some fishing net that had become entangled in one of the jacking legs. The netting was hindering the jacking operations – something that would cost considerable operational down time for a planned rig move. The client wanted a fully equipped team in place on the Sunday morning.
The TEXO Asset Integrity operations team looked at all available personnel and equipment and mobilized a three-man rope access team along with rope kits, rescue bag, hand tools, and rig bag at very short notice and with a poor weather forecast ahead.
The rope access team assessed the worksite, and carried out a risk assessment and toolbox talk so all parties understood their responsibilities. The team liaised with rig crew and identified a suitable weather window to undertake the task. The rope access team then removed the fishing net and disposed of it safely before the weather took a turn for the worse.
The job was completed quickly and safely, with no need for any downtime on the rig. The client was delighted with the standard of work and the team performance during the scope of work: “TEXO reacted at very short notice and provided a highly experienced and extremely well supervised team with a great work ethic,” they reported.
We have a highly skilled dedicated team who aim to be the very best in the business and with all scopes of work however big or small, and our clients see the benefits of this.
