Our client asked us to manage the full fabrication, welding, testing and paint coatings of a bespoke Flange Training Rig (FTR). We needed to work closely with the client to its own detailed design, as the FTR was a prototype. Designed as a mobile unit, this new FTR can support a broad range of bespoke training functions including flange management, alignment, gasket replacement and bolt torquing.
Working in close partnership with the client to understand exactly what they needed, we collaborated on construction materials and details during the design stages. We then fabricated the FTR to this bespoke specification and within a tight budget.
The design needed to meet stringent standards, but also be a good promotional tool for the client. We suggested water jet cutting the client’s logo within the side plates, supported by a bright, eye-catching background to enhance the profile.
Our client’s Engineering Manager has been extremely impressed with our work and we hope that will result in further engagement with this product in the future.
