We began by removing the damaged lines and pulling the water ingress from the system. We used rope access to install the new lines and recommissioned the hydraulic system. This was when we discovered that the system had been damaged below the water line.

This was a very diverse project with a lot of safety factors to consider, and a need for wide collaboration across a range of technical and engineering skills. Using our pre-planning, risk assessment, auditing and safety skills, we managed this project calmly and with a positive outcome. the wide collaborative collective of skills all being managed by myself. I found this project very interesting because it allowed me to diversify my project skills with pre-planning, risk assessment auditing and site toolbox talks to run through potential risk, allowing me to mitigate all eventualities.
