Following an urgent request for an A60 Safe Area ROV Control Cabin just before the festive break, the modular build team at TEXO Workspace Solutions had their work cut out to design, manufacture, fit-out and commission the unit within a 5-week turnaround.
Having the support in-house from TEXO Fabrication was a massive benefit, along with our supply chain team for ensuring everything was in place for the individual discipline teams to execute over the holiday period.
Following on from fabrication and painting, the module was transferred to our fit-out workshop in Westhill, Aberdeen, where all architectural, HVAC and electrical scopes were undertaken within the tight programme deadline.
The module was then subject to a FAT, however, due to the clients’ location and timescale this was carried out using TEXO Livestream where a virtual commissioning procedure was witnessed and accepted live before shipping to the Port of Alexandria, Egypt.
This is another great example of our ability to support our clients, with the broad range of in-house services within TEXO providing a level of service and ability that allows us to respond quickly whilst delivering client work scopes safely, on time and within budget.
