Osbit, the offshore technology supplier, requested TEXO Port Services to fabricate a riserless module for to be incorporated into FTAI Ocean’s well intervention Smart Tower System (STS). The STS is an innovative structure to support well intervention technology. The STS will be operated by FTAI Ocean on its DP3 Well Intervention Vessel the M/V PRIDE to support energy transition, by extending the life of existing subsea wells. The Smart Tower System facilitates integrated riserless and riser-based well intervention operations in water depths of up to 1,500 metres.
This was a complex project that required strict adherence to welding practices and procedures, along with a focus on machine finish tolerances. We met all these challenges and were also able to manage the safe handling and out-of-gauge transportation, organising and overseeing all procedures.
TEXO Port Services has received positive feedback from the Osbit project team. We were able to develop a strong, positive working relationship with Osbit’s team through the project which will hopefully lead into further project partnerships in the future.
