We were asked by our client to work on an 11-week programme to design, fabricate and install new mogas and diesel additive tanks at the Purfleet Gas Terminal. TEXO was chosen because of our ability to put together a comprehensive turnkey service packaging.
Working across our design, fabrication and installation teams, we offered a one-stop-shop service for this project, starting with design and ending with full testing and certification. Having a single project manager across all elements meant that we were able to keep a tight control over lead times, budget and project execution.
The project was carried out over an 11-week period, with engineering and design taking three weeks, fabrication work carried out over six weeks, followed by a two-week installation programme.
There was a high level of multi-disciplinary collaboration required from the offset in order to take the project from the client’s concept to a working system. From early design stages, we were able to produce and fabricate designs that made the installation straightforward. This was achievable because we were a single supplier working together as a team.
