The Challenge
An offshore Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) facility operating off the coast of West Africa required a major upgrade of its HVAC and refrigeration systems.
The project demanded:

- ATEX-certified equipment for both Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous environments
- Blast-resistant equipment designs for selected locations

Bespoke Hazardous Area HVAC Equipment

- Zone 1 packaged air conditioning units (PACUs)
- Zone 1 air-cooled condensing units (ACCUs)
- Zone 2 packaged air conditioning units
- Split air conditioning systems
- Dedicated control and power distribution panels
Several systems were also engineered to meet blast-resistance requirements.
Offshore Compliance and Quality Assurance
To ensure compliance and performance, TEXO delivered:
- Lloyd’s design approval across all systems
- Full factory acceptance testing (FAT)
- More than 800 project drawings and technical documents
- Complete commissioning and operational documentation
