Valaris approached TEXO to complete a comprehensive door survey on their V121 asset following recent DNV findings. Our detailed inspection revealed that several doors were compromised, suffering from significant integrity and insulation issues, necessitating immediate replacement. A key challenge lay in the existing door design, panel system, and bulkhead liners, which made it incredibly
difficult to precisely locate the bulkhead steel without undertaking extensive, time-consuming stripping.
Leveraging our long-standing relationship with Valaris and our recognised expertise in door replacement on their assets, TEXO devised a robust solution. To navigate the complexities of installation, we supplied replacement doors with frames specifically prepared for both side fixing and face fixing. This flexible approach empowered our technicians to employ the most effective installation method on-site, guaranteeing a secure attachment to the bulkhead steel. For side fixing, we utilised specialised 100mm long self-tapping bolts, ensuring a strong and reliable connection.
The V121 Door Replacement project was completed successfully, delivering high-quality, robust doors that met Valaris’s stringent requirements. Our adaptability in addressing the installation challenges, combined with the professionalism of our technicians,
resulted in exceptional client satisfaction.
Testimonial: “Valaris are extremely pleased with the quality and robust nature of the replacement doors and are very happy with the workmanship and professionalism of our technicians.”
